Personal and Social Education

Personal and Social Education (PSE) relates to everything that a school does to support and promote the personal and social development and well-being of its learners.
This is accomplished through a wide range of opportunities and contexts, particularly celebrating and caring for different people, cultures, languages and environments, including those within Wales.

Personal and Social Education in the National Curriculum for Wales is the key document which schools should use to review and develop their PSE programmes. It provides the foundation for a broad, balanced holistic approach to PSE.

In this section, practitioners can find all the key information they need to deliver PSE in the national curriculum. You can also find further information, approaches and research to aid your professional development.
